Te Mag Beta has been online for about a week now and today marks the beginning of version 1.02. Here is what has changed from 1.01 from the official MAG forums.

Hey folks! So if you hop into the beta later today you'll notice that you’ll be prompted to download the 1.02 update. This brings a number of fixes and tweaks with it, but I wanted to point out a few that you should be on the lookout for.

First, there have been a number of changes made to the way knives are handled, namely with regards to range and the amount of damage based on where you hit someone. We've lowered the level requirements for all items, made uniforms and other wearable gear much cheaper, and tweaked the prices for a lot of these things. Also, we've hopefully fixed the issue where some folks were experiencing crashes in the Supply Depot.

There are a number of other tweaks that you might notice, like mines doing more damage to vehicles and some UI layout and aiming tweaks for folks who've gotten their hands on a PlayStation Move early. Let us know what you think of the changes, and let us know if you run into any new issues. It is a beta, after all!

Update from Jeremy: BTW, if you're running into issues downloading the patch prior to 3:30pm (Pacific), it is because the patch has not been fully deployed yet. We'd recommend that you wait until then to download it.

Bonus News: The 2nd session will be available until 9:30pm (Pacific) tonight -- enjoy the extra time!
